For many parents, the dangers of Halloween are not always clear. This is because the mainstream media often portrays Halloween as a harmless holiday filled with fun and excitement. However, many people celebrate Halloween without knowing that it has pagan origins. By participating in this holiday, they are not only breaking God’s commandment, but they are also opening themselves up to demonic activity. Black families should consider avoiding this celebration at all costs. Although some people might insist that Halloween is just for kids and harmless fun; not all is what it seems- many dangers come with exposing children to the holiday’s dark side.
Colossians chapter 2:8, “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”
According to the Bible, we should take care in blindly following pagan traditions. This includes celebrating pagan holidays like Halloween. Unfortunately, by doing this, many black families are disregarding God’s commandments and taking part in activities He strictly forbids.
Although Halloween is now associated with ghosts, witches, monsters, and other creatures, its origins are quite different. The holiday has its roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain, which celebrates the end of harvest. The satanic festival included the lighting of bonfires and the hollowing of potatoes, beets, and turnips to use as lanterns because heathens believed that the flames would ward off evil spirits.
The Druids, who were the Celtic priests, would offer human sacrifices to their false gods during this time. They would build enormous wicker structures in the shape of men, stuff them with living beings such as animals or people, and then set them aflame. Every year, during this time of year, many black and brown children go missing. Are they are being used as sacrifices in these sick and twisted rituals?
Trick-or-treating started in the 9th century with a practice called ‘souling’. Beggars would go door-to-door begging for soul cakes which were small round cakes with a cross cut into the top. The more soul cakes that were given out, the more prayers would be said for the dead person’s soul. Christians believed that without these petitions, souls couldn’t reach heaven.
The practice of ‘guising’, or dressing up in costume, also has pagan origins. It was believed that by wearing disguises, people could fool the spirits into thinking they were one of them and thus avoid being harmed. This belief likely stems from the fact that many pagan religions thought that the dead could return to the world of the living in disguise. The danger that this poses to children is that it teaches them to fear and respect these evil spirits instead of trusting in the one true God to protect them.
So, as you can see, Halloween is a holiday with very dark roots. It is a time when evil spirits are said to be more active and when black families should be extra vigilant in protecting their children. Given that Halloween has such dark origins, how can something good come from it?
One of the biggest dangers associated with Halloween is that it exposes children to paganism and satanism. While many people see these as harmless beliefs, they can be very harmful to impressionable young minds. It also encourages children to engage in dangerous activities, such as going door-to-door without adult supervision or eating candy that has been tampered with.
If parents allow their children to take gifts from strangers, it could create a pathway for demonic activity in the home. This is the reason why many children suffer from depression or even mental disorders after participating in Halloween activities. The Bible warns not even to bring these things into our homes, let alone celebrate them.
Deuteronomy chapter 7:26 “Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.”
The DEA has issued a warning that children’s candy is being laced with a powerful drug Rainbow Fentanyl. This is a very serious issue because this drug can be deadly, even in small doses. So, not only are children being exposed to paganism and satanism, they are also at risk of being poisoned by drugs when trick-or-treating.
Many parents are placing their children in danger when they send them door-to-door on Halloween. It is well-known that many sexual predators use this holiday as an opportunity to lure in unsuspecting children. Many Law enforcement agencies have issued a warning that child predators will be using candy to try and lure children into their homes.
One of the most insidious dangers of Halloween is that it promotes a culture of fear. This is particularly harmful to young children who are already prone to nightmares and anxiety. When children are exposed to images of ghosts, witches, and monsters during Halloween this can lead to nightmares and even sleep disorders. It can also make children more susceptible to anxiety and depression.
Finally, Halloween can also normalize violence for children. When they see adults dressing up in scary costumes and engaging in “ harmless” pranks, it can send the message that violence is acceptable behavior. This can lead to more aggressive behavior in children and can even desensitize them to real-world violence.
Another danger of Halloween is that it can encourage a belief in magic. When children see adults dressing up as witches and wizards, It can plant the idea in their minds that these things are approved and encouraged. This can lead to a false sense of security and an unhealthy fascination with the occult. The Bible tells us to avoid all forms of magic and witchcraft.
Leviticus chapter 19:31, “Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God”
As you can see, there are many dangers associated with Halloween. Participating in Halloween is contrary to biblical teaching and should be avoided. By its very nature, Halloween is a holiday that is built around fear, death, and evil. This can negatively impact young children who are not old enough to fully understand the difference between make-believe and reality. It is important to protect your children from these dangers by not participating in Halloween activities and staying clear away from any event or party that is celebrating this holiday. Black families should be very careful about exposing their children to Halloween. There are many dangers associated with the holiday and it is best to avoid it altogether.
Its not possible to serve God and participate in pagan activities.
1 Corinthians chapter 10:21, “Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.”
Exposing young children to unnecessary dangers is irresponsible, as there are plenty of real biblical holidays to enjoy throughout the year. If you truly love God and want to protect your children, then the best thing you can do is keep them away from Halloween; learn and keep God’s commandments. When it comes to your children’s safety, it is always better to err on the side of caution.
